MDRN is an architecture magazine that takes a closer look at modern architectural styles from all over the world. It features incredible architectural designs and has a goal of sharing and educating readers about these creations along with their backgrounds and processes. In this edition of MDRN, the spotlight is on urban architecture, but the magazine also delves into different architectural styles from across the globe.
While studying at BCIT, I had the opportunity to work on a project for my design class. The project involved creating both a digital and print magazine. My chosen theme was Asian urban architecture, drawing ideas from Japanese architecture magazines such as J+A and "idea" for their clean and straightforward layouts. The process kicked off with brainstorming, followed by finding inspiration from specific magazines and arranging the content for each page.
